I'm a complete sucker for romantic comedies! I grew up watching these rom-coms since the early 2000s. I was-and-still-am: OBSESSED.
They're fun, easy to catch on, and most of all — they're bubbly! I suppose that my personality's a little like that which is why this genre greatly resonates with me.
Frankly, I've always loved watching movies ever since I was a young girl. I also gradually became more interested in making films and taking photographs. I took the leap and enrolled at LASALLE College of the Arts and graduated with a Diploma in Broadcast Media.​
In terms of technicality, I took this picture using a camera and experimented with the light equipments I have so that there's more depth to the picture.
Conceptually, I wanted to portray an 'organised' mess to mimic the process of getting ready for a romantic night out. I curated the pieces so they all fit – colours and textures in mind.

For editing, I used my phone camera's settings and Picsart. To achieve a soft, dreamy look that I was going for, I reduced the vibrancy and brightness. Then, I added a blur effect to the photo.

Overall, I feel that this avatar represents me and my blog because of its feminine aesthetic. To me, lip-stained love letters, a gift box with a bow on it, perfume, sunglasses, and makeup, are associated with being a romantic comedy film's female lead.
